MOSCOW, Idaho – Good news for graduates in the class of 2012. They can expect a higher rate of employment than the class of 2011, according to the National Association of College and Employers report that says employers are planning on hiring 9.5 percent more graduates this year.
In an effort to ensure employment for graduates at the University of Idaho, the Career Center will be hosting over 60 organizations recruiting for full-time jobs, summer jobs and internships on Wednesday, Feb. 8, from 2-6 p.m. in the Student Union Building Ballroom.
The job fair provides a unique opportunity for face-to-face networking.
“In order to be successful in finding a job or internship, students should take full advantage of the resources offered by the university,” said Suzi Billington, director of the Career Center. “It is a highly competitive job market and students need to be proactive about meeting with potential employers now. The sooner they get their foot in the door, the better.”
