MOSCOW, Idaho – The following is a list of University of Idaho sponsored events for the week of Sept. 3-9. Events will take place in Moscow and are free and open to the public, unless otherwise noted.
Monday, Sept. 3
The University of Idaho will be closed for the Labor Day holiday.
Tuesday, Sept. 4
Hemingway Festival

Various Locations in Moscow, Idaho
This three-day festival celebrates Ernest Hemingway, his well-known love for Idaho, and the university's longstanding publication of "The Hemingway Review," the world's preeminent journal of Hemingway scholarship, and the creative writing program's recently established Hemingway Fellowship. Six years ago, the University of Idaho's creative writing program and "the Hemingway Review" partnered with the Hemingway Foundation/PEN New England in the celebration of their annual award. This year's winner, Teju Cole, author of "Open City" will visit Moscow to attend the festival and will give a reading on Sept. 4. Other events include graduate student readings, a talk by noted Hemingway scholar Sandra Spanier, a Moveable Feast, screening of a Hemingway film, and MFA program faculty reading and bookfair. Robert and Floretta Austin Distinguished Lecture in Science

Jill Seaman, an infectious disease physician, will present the College of Science's annual Robert and Floretta Austin Distinguished Lecture in Science.
