MOSCOW, Idaho – The following is a list of University of Idaho sponsored events for the week of Sept. 10-16. Events will take place in Moscow and are free and open to the public, unless otherwise noted.
Tuesday, Sept. 11
Campus Conversation
11:30-12:30 p.m.
Clearwater-Whitewater Room Idaho Commons
875 S. Line St. in Moscow
This is a monthly conversation that allows students, faculty members and staff, and members of the community to gather together and converse about issues that affect the community of Moscow. This program is put on every monthly by the Women’s Center and the ASUI Center for Volunteerism, and Social Action.
Friday, Sept. 14
The Avengers
7 p.m.
Student Union Building Borah Theatre
709 Deakin Ave. in Moscow
As part of the ASUI and Vandal Entertainment’s film series “Blockbuster in the Borah,” The Avengers will be shown. This comic turned film tells the story of a superhero team featuring Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Captain America, Thor, Hawkeye and Black Widow who are faced with an enemy that threatens global security. A peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D. calls upon The Avengers in hopes of saving the world from total disaster. This event is free and open to the public.

Saturday, Sept. 15
Paint the Palouse
9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Various Locations in Moscow
This community service event, hosted annually by the University of Idaho Residence Halls, benefits members of the Moscow community. The program provides assistance to those who cannot afford to paint their homes or are unable to do so themselves because of health reasons. With the help of community volunteers, their houses are repainted free of charge. Volunteers are asked to meet at the University of Idaho Library and from there will disperse into groups throughout Moscow.
