MOSCOW, Idaho – The following is a list of University of Idaho sponsored events for the week of July 9-15. Events will take place in Moscow and Idaho Falls, and are free and open to the public, unless otherwise noted.
Tuesday, July 10
Dissertation Defense: Tyler Masters
10 a.m.
Physical Education Building, Room 117
1060 Rayburn St. in Moscow
Tyler Masters, doctoral candidate in education, will defend his dissertation entitled, "A Mental Toughness Development Intervention in Collegiate Ice Hockey: Examining a Working Model." The event is free and open to the public.
Wednesday, July 11
Summer Noontime Featuring Grant Terry
Noon – 1 p.m.
Idaho Commons Lawn
875 S. Line St. in Moscow
Come enjoy lunch and some great music in the summer sun. All concerts are sponsored by the Idaho Commons and Student Union and ASUI Student Engagement. In case of inclement weather, the concert will be moved to the Idaho Commons Food Court. This event is free and open to the public.
Thursday, July 12
Dissertation Defense: Susan Steele

Susan Steele, doctoral candidate for education, will defend her dissertation entitled, "Community Engaged Service-Learning: The Effect on University Students and Community Partners." This event is free and open to the public.
Screen on the Green Presents: Sandlot

ASUI Summer Programs presents the film "Sandlot" as part of their summer movie series Screen on the Green. All movies are free and start at dusk every Thursday from June 14 – Aug. 2. For more information, visit the Screen on the Green facebook page for more information.

8th Annual Vandal Picnic in Boise sponsored by The Curb Bar and Grill

Sign up today for the 8th annual Vandal Picnic in Boise, sponsored by The Curb Bar and Grill in Meridian - owned and operated by Vandals. Ticket prices include a delicious smoked pulled pork sandwich, topped with coleslaw and BBQ sauce, baked beans, and potato salad, plus live music from the Douglas Cameron Band, Vandal giveaways, kid's activities, cherries from Kelley's Canyon Orchard, and an evening of fun with the Vandals. Joe Vandal will even be on site. Tickets purchased before July 11 cost $10 for adults and $5 for children under 10. Tickets purchased after July 11 or at the door cost $15 for adults and $7 for children under 10. No-host beer and wine will be available. The VandalStore will be on hand selling a variety of items such as Vandal Game Day shirts, can cozies, hats and foam fingers at special Vandal Picnic prices. Park seating is limited, so pack a blanket or some lawn chairs.
