MOSCOW, Idaho – The following is a list of University of Idaho sponsored events for the week of July 2-8. Events will take place in Moscow and Idaho Falls, and are free and open to the public, unless otherwise noted.

Monday, July 2
Dissertation Defense: Jonathan Webb

10 a.m. MT
Tingley Administration Building, Room 350B
1776 Science Center Dr. in Idaho Falls
Jonathan Webb, doctoral candidate, will defend his dissertation entitled, "Analysis and Fabrication of Tungsten CERMET Materials for Ultra-high Temperature Reactor Applications via Pulsed Electric Current Sintering." The event is free and open to the public.

Wednesday, July 4
The University of Idaho will be closed in observance of Independence Day. The university will resume normal business hours on Thursday, July 5.

Friday, July 6
Dissertation Defense: Jodi Frost
2:30 p.m.
Teaching and Learning Center, Room 141
875 S. Line St. in Moscow
Jodi Frost, doctoral candidate in mathematics, will defend her dissertation entitled, "Pre-Service Teachers' Conceptions of Literal Symbols." The event is free and open to the public.
