MOSCOW, Idaho – The following is a list of University of Idaho sponsored events for the week of Aug. 13-19. Events will take place in Moscow and are free and open to the public, unless otherwise noted.

Wednesday, Aug. 15
Fraternity Recruitment Begins
10 a.m.
Student Union Building
709 Deakin Ave. in Moscow
Recruitment is the mutual selection process which students may go through to join a fraternity. Students will be able to meet members from every chapter, learn about the chapters’ activities, tour the chapter facility and figure out which fraternity is the right one for them. Thursday, Aug. 16
Idaho Repertory Theatre Presents “Circle Mirror Transformation”
7:30 p.m.

625 Stadium Dr. in Moscow
Set in a creative drama class, Circle Mirror Transformation tells the story of instructor Marty and her eclectic mix of students as they slog through acting games that push emotions and abilities, or lack thereof, to the limit. But, as often trying times will do, the experience builds connections and relationships that will endure well after students are outside the classroom walls. Winner of the Obie Award for best new play, it has been called an “absorbing, unblinking and sharply funny play,” by the New York Times. Dissertation Defense: Phuoc Tran

Phuoc Tran, doctoral candidate in electrical engineering, will defend his dissertation entitled, "Gain-Enhancement Differential Amplifier using Positive Feedback." This event is free and open to the public.
