Safe Zone is a program at the University of Idaho which identifies faculty, staff, and students who can provide support and resources for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (GLBTQ) students, faculty, and staff. A Safe Zone sign indicates that the person who posted it is a person who will be understanding, non-judgmental, and trustworthy. Individuals will know that they can come to this person for help, advice, or just talk with someone who is supportive of their sexual orientation or gender identity.
