Preserving Your Victory Garden Harvest Class Starts July 6

In response to growing interest in small scale local food production, the University of Idaho Extension in Bonner County will present “Preserving Your Victory Garden harvest” as the final sequence of classes in the Victory Garden series. The four class series will cover water bath and pressure canning; drying foods and making pickles; and preparing jams jellies, and pie fillings. Cost of the series is $10 for the series and enrollment is limited to 20. The series will begin July 6 and end on July 27 and will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday evenings at the Senior Center in Priest River. Call the University of Idaho, Bonner County Extension office at 263-8511 to register. Class size is limited, so register early. We ask that you pay in advance by sending or bringing a check for $10 to the Extension Office at 4205 N. Boyer, Sandpoint, 83864.
