Open House Event Showcases U-Idaho Natural Resources Programs
Wednesday, June 6 2012 at 3:00 PM to Thursday, June 7 at 9:30 AM
College of Natural Resources second floor lobby
The University of Idaho College of Natural Resources (CNR) will host high school students from around the state on June 6-7 as part of the Idaho State FFA Career Development Events (CDEs) organized by the College of Agricultural & Life Sciences. Winners advance to compete against teams across the nation at the National FFA Organization’s convention held each October in Indianapolis. Faculty and staff in the CNR will host two CDEs: the Environmental and Natural Resource CDE, directed by Dr. Karen Launchbaugh and Lovina Roselle and the Forestry CDE, directed by Dr. Rob Keefe and Dr. Randy Brooks. During this time, the CNR will offer two open house events to showcase the college’s eight programs and include tours of the building space. Those who attend can enjoy refreshments, get a sneak peek into the college’s learning spaces, and learn why the University of Idaho has one of the largest and most respected natural resources programs in the country.
Open House times will be June 6, 3:00-4:00 PM & June 7, 9:30-10:30 AM in the CNR second floor lobby. All are welcome to attend. For more information about the CNR Open House, contact Paulette House at 208-885-7818 or firstname.lastname@example.org
