Natural Resources Professor Engages in Efforts to Advance Science in Haiti

Gary Machlis, professor in the College of Natural Resources, traveled to Port-au-Prince, Haiti Sept. 17-21 to deliver the American Association for the Advancement of Science report, “Science for Haiti,” as well as meet with Haitian scientific, private sector, public education and government leaders. While there, he helped inaugurate the Haitian Association for the Advancement of Science and Technology.
