MOSCOW, Idaho – Ring in the winter season with the University of Idaho’s 22nd annual Jazz Choirs Holiday Concert on Friday, Dec. 9, at 8 p.m., in the ASUI-Kibbie Activity Center. Admission is free. Donations of cash and non-perishable food items to benefit area food banks will be accepted at the door.

More than 500 local and regional elementary, junior high school and high school choir members will perform, along with the Alpine Carillons, the Holiday String Orchestra and Jazz Band IV.

“This concert has been a part of Moscow’s holiday tradition for 22 years,” said Dan Bukvich, professor of music and holiday concert director. “It continues to offer local students the opportunity to work with university musicians in an exciting and high pressure environment.”

The Jazz Choir Holiday Concert is presented by the University of Idaho Lionel Hampton School of Music and the President’s Office, with support from the Moscow School District and local business and community volunteers.
