Graduate Student Fellowship Opportunity: C.R. Stillinger Forest Science Research Fellowship

Thursday, March 8 2012

The University of Idaho Office of Research and Economic Development is currently accepting graduate student applications for the C.R. Stillinger Forest Science Research Fellowship program to support forest ecology research. The 12-month assistantship (awarded for 1-3 years) could be used to initiate and complete a research project, to provide an opportunity to fund a portion of an ongoing research project, or to bring to completion an ongoing graduate student research effort.

Funding will be awarded in the form of a 12-month graduate assistantship stipend on an academic year basis.  The rate will vary depending on available funds, but is expected to be approximately $19,000 - $21,000 per year. In addition to the stipend, up to $4000 will be made available to support operating and travel costs associated with the student’s research project.

Eligible graduate students must complete and submit an application packet no later than close of business the first Friday of April.
