Forestry Scientist Gives Keynote Address at International Symposium on Restoring Forests

Anthony S. Davis, assistant professor of forest resources and director of the Center for Forest Nursery and Seedling Research recently gave a key note address at the Restoring Forests: Advances in Techniques and Theory Symposium held in Madrid, Spain Sept. 27-29. Entitled, “Seedling Selection to Facilitate Restoration Success,” Davis’ presentation addressed the challenges in restoring degraded and damaged ecosystems and introduced a novel approach to overcoming those challenges. The symposium engaged approximately 100 scientists from across the world to collaboratively address solutions to challenges associated with forest restoration under stressful conditions.
