Five UI Faculty Selected to Teach on University Studies Abroad Consortium (USAC) Programs in 2015-2016

The International Programs Office is pleased to announce the following UI faculty have been selected as Visiting Professors to teach on University Studies Abroad Consortium (USAC) programs in 2015-2016:

Sean Quinlan (Department of History)- Luneburg, Germany.
Bert Baumgaertner (Philosophy Department)- Alicante, Spain.
Kristin Haltinner (Department of Sociology and Anthropology)- Accra, Ghana.
Douglas Lind (Philosophy Department)- Luneburg, Germany.
Sanjay Sisodiya (Department of Business)- Shanghai, China.

Visiting Professorships provide UI faculty with the opportunity to gain international teaching experience, establish contacts with foreign colleagues, enhance their foreign language skills, and develop international relationships.

USAC Visiting Professorships are available for summer sessions (3-6 weeks), January sessions (3 weeks) or for a semester (fall or spring). Placements are available at 21 sites in 15 countries. Applicants from CLASS, CBE, CNR the College of Education, and the College of Art and Architecture interested in strengthening and supporting international education and study abroad on UI’s campus are particularly encouraged to apply.
