Fifth Annual Southern Idaho Livestock Judging Camp Registration Due June 1
Wednesday, June 1 2011
June 1 is the due date for registration and scholarship applications for
the fifth annual Southern Idaho Livestock Judging Camp planned July 6-8
on the College of Southern Idaho campus in Twin Falls.
Judging
coaches and teams from College of Southern Idaho, California State
University, Chico and University of Idaho Extension will help youth
build their skills presenting oral reasons skills, animal evaluation and
collegiate judging.
Cost for the camp is $100 per youth
participant, which includes four meals, a banquet dinner, a judging
manual, notebook, contest and opportunities for college scholarships.
New
this year are scholarships up to $220 for Idaho adult volunteers and
4-H professionals to attend the camp through the Idaho 4-H Advisory
Committee from 4-H participation fee funds. The camp will help adults
learn how to build local livestock judging programs. Scholarships will
be based on bringing youth to the camp, participants' needs and how
knowledge gained will be used.
