Marilyn Bischoff and Beverly Healy, University of Idaho Extension Family and Consumer Sciences professors, received the Outstanding Educational Program Award from the Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education.

The national award recognized the "Legally Secure Your Financial Future: Organize, Communicate, Prepare" curriculum available to practitioners at http://www.cals.uidaho.edu/lsyff/ and a consumer website that is accessed at http://www.extension.org/pages/Legally_Secure_Your_Financial_Future.

Bischoff and Healy, along with Extension colleagues from six other land grant universities, collaborated to develop these in-depth estate planning programs that teach adults to:

--Organize their important legal, financial, and personal documents.
--Communicate with loved ones about legal, health and financial issues.
--Prepare an estate plan and work with an attorney.
