Excellence Awards Nominations Due Feb. 8, 2013

Nominations are currently being requested for the 2013 Excellence Awards.

* The Presidential Mid-Career Award was established to acknowledge achievements made by gifted faculty usually during the middle of their career, who have demonstrated a commitment to outstanding scholarship, teaching, and engagement;

* The University Distinguished Professor Award is bestowed on University of Idaho faculty in recognition of sustained excellence, as judged by peers, in scholarly, creative, and artistic achievement, breadth and depth of teaching in their discipline, and university services as well as service involving the application of scholarship, creative, or artistic activities that address the needs of one or more external publics; and

* The Interdisciplinary and Collaborative Efforts is to honor faculty members who exemplify interdisciplinary or collaborative efforts. The individual(s) must have contributed to substantial and lasting connections to people, units, programs or departments within the University of Idaho.

The deadline to submit nominations for the above awards is Friday, Feb. 8, 2013 to excellence@uidaho.edu. Please go to the Provost’s website to learn more about the requirements for the nomination process and to see a list of all the awards being presented at the Friday, April 12, 2013 formal ceremony located in the SUB Ballroom.
