Center on Disabilities and Human Development

The University's Center on Disabilities and Human Development will receive approximately $430,000 in stimulus funds from the Idaho Infant Toddler Part C program to create and deliver three in-service and/or pre-service curriculum packages. The packages will embed research-based best practices into seven key principles of early intervention; service coordination; and individual family service planning. The training consists of on-line learning modules and face-to-face instruction. Once completed, staff for the project will provide orientation trainings throughout the state on each module and will help to embed the training into existing pre-service courses at the University of Idaho as well as other institutions across the state. CDHD is working closely with faculty from Family and Consumer Sciences on this project.
