The Department of Biological Sciences welcomes Dr. Hopi Hoekstra, Alexander Agassiz Professor of Biology at Harvard University for a lecture. Her presentation is part of the Randall Seminar Series focused on Women in Science at the University of Idaho.
Hoekstra will speak on Tuesday, September 20, at 3 p.m., in TLC 040; a reception will follow. Her presentation is titled, "From Darwin to DNA: the genetics of evolutionary change."
Support for the series is made possible by a generous gift from University alumna Jan Randall. The Randall gift supports visits to campus by several prominent women scientists and sponsors a series of discussions on various issues that affect women scientists.
