The Extension Educator will provide instruction and support in Financial Management for county, multi-county and state programs. They will plan, develop, implement, evaluate and report FCS Financial Management programs (70%). The Educator will collaborate with appropriate state, district, and county faculty and participate in the University of Idaho Extension, Financial Management program planning team. The Educator's programs will focus on one or more of the planning teams' priority issues areas for Individual and Family Resource Management (Youth Financial Literacy, Basic Financial Management, Budgeting, Financial Security and/or Personal Finances). These programs will provide impact for a mix of rural, suburban and urban audiences. The Educator will coordinate Financial Management program efforts with the appropriate agencies, coalitions, associations, and organizations and will contribute to state programs. The educator will recruit external funding and develop partnerships that support and enhance county and district educational programs and research projects, and publish results in appropriate scholarly outlets. The Educator will provide assistance in university outreach where appropriate. In addition, the Educator will provide multi-county program support for 4-H Youth Development in FCS project areas (10%). The Educator could potentially serve as chair of the Ada County Extension Office (20%). As administrative chair for the office, they would maintain a good working relationship with the Ada County Board of Commissioners, provide supervision for county budget preparation and personnel and perform other chair duties as required.
