Yolanda Bisbee
Yolanda Bisbee is the Director for the University of Idaho College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP). CAMP provides scholarship and support service to U of I Freshman who are from seasonal farm work backgrounds. Yolanda has a rich Hispanic/Native American background and is an enrolled member of the Nez Perce Tribe. She is a former first generation participant of the University of Idaho Upward Bound Program and is very knowledgeable of the barriers facing multicultural students at the secondary and post-secondary levels.
Ms. Bisbee has twenty–two years of work experience at the University of Idaho. She has completed her Bachelor’s of Science in Office Administration and her Master’s in Higher Education Leadership and currently pursuing her Ed. D from the University of Idaho. Ms. Bisbee continues to be active in several professional associations affiliated with limited income and firs-generation students from multicultural backgrounds.
Steven Martin, a tribal member of the Muskogee Creek and Choctaw Nations of Oklahoma, serves as the Director for the Native American Student at the University of Idaho. Mr. Martin has been working with American Indian communities and students in various capacities for the past ten years. During six of those ten years, Mr. Martin has assisted in research involving American Indian student recruitment, retention, and development in higher education and has given presentations at the local, state, and national levels. He uses these opportunities to educate professionals and individuals who are willing to listen and learn about American Indians in higher education.
