American Indian Studies
The American Indian Studies Program at the University of Idaho was established to provide and advance quality education for and about American Indians of Idaho, the region, and the nation. In fulfilling this mission, the Program is committed to meet the changing needs of Idaho's Indian tribes and all Idaho citizens through excellence in teaching, research, and service.

Helping Orient Indian Student and Teachers (HOIST) is a highly innovative summer program that assists ambitious Native American students with an interest in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and related fields. The program is designed to encourage pursuit of a post-secondary degree.

The mission of the All Nations Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation is to increase the number of American Indians and other underrepresented minorities receiving a baccalaureate degree in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines.

Native Law Program
The Native Law Program at the University of Idaho College of Law is focused on providing law students with a foundation in Tribal Law, Federal Indian Law, and the intersection of State Law. On a rotating basis, the courses “Native American Natural Resources Law” and “Tribal Nation Economics & Law” are offered.
