  • Biofuel research and development
  • Appropriate incentives for grant application (e.g. tenure) 
  • Recycling bins in each office with weekly or bi-weekly pickup or a central place in each building for recycling.

  • 65 credits may not be a lot for UI but it is a lot for high school students, particularly first generation & rural students 
  • Focus areas in college aligned with National/University focus areas – sell what we do – not the program

  • Challenge all courses to have a sustainability component

  • Encourage graduate research in projects that also could affect university 
  • Enhanced collaboration across colleges 
  • Conduct research (site-specific) at R&E centers – energy production 
  • Expand hiring in energy & climate change areas 
  • Diverse student profile – engage private/foundation
