• Enhanced recruitment using minority athletes – connecting to their home schools (high schools) and home towns. 
• Center for race, ethnicity and gender studies 
• Incentivize diversity, research w/partners who are diverse 
• More emphasis on native peoples 
• Recruit minority grad students 
• Relationships with specific foreign universities to insure quality graduate students 
• Pursue veterans, displaced breadwinners “capture the moment” by serving the nation, state, citizens of 
• Got to start traveling to faculty/staff/professional conferences – get, give, share, gain –information makes us better, smarter, happier more innovative 
• Indigenous STEM for tribes 
• Research grants focused on gender & other areas of diversity that then awardees would present back in centers 
• Support for arts 
• Graduate student stipend enhancement 
• Expand into areas of social conscience 
• Include community in research proposals
