  • Increase Latino cooperation, outreach
  • Incentivize sending staff/faculty to diverse locales with an agenda of four goals
  • Equity issues in all programs
  • Rethink recruitment approaches to minority communities
  • Hispanic students – they are underserved by U of I – need to be nurtured early and often
  • Address diversity with all of the issues – gender, economics
  • Pursue veterans, displaced breadwinners “capture the moment” by serving the nation, state, citizens of
  • Alumni office needs to recognize female graduates – not their husband’s names (we have lots of women grads)
  • Sell our story and the living environment better among colleagues and at conferences, etc.
  • Inclusion and improvement of assistance programs for diverse groups
  • Programming academic support- diversity recruitment plan
  • International activity requirement for promotion & tenure
  • Reconnect with international alumni
  • Create opportunities for faculty to engage in cultural centers (Women’s Center, OMA, NASC, CAMP )
  • Working with other offices, create & present learning opportunities in diversity, inclusiveness, etc.
  • Need a viable partner accommodation policy
