Agricultural Economics - B.S.Ag.Econ.
Competency in appropriate use of economic concepts to identify agricultural and natural resource problems, identify and gather appropriate data, and skills to apply quantitative and qualitative analysis to obtain solutions, using appropriate computer technology
Critical thinking skills: Students will possess the ability to identify problems faced by managers and analysts, assemble pertinent data and personnel, formulate proper analytical techniques, and implement and evaluate the assessment to resolve the concerns.
Effective written and oral communication skills expressing economic concepts, business decision-making, quantitative analyses, and agricultural concepts.
Quantitative reasoning/assessment skills: Students will have the ability to apply quantitative reasoning and assessment skills to the analysis of applied economic management problems.
Students should be familiar with issues related to the agricultural sector, natural resource policies and rural community development.
