Biochemistry - B.S.Biochem.

  • A graduate with a BS in Biochemistry will understand the metabolic and thermodynamic processes common to all life including the structure and function of macromolecular machinery, the biochemical basis of disease and applications of genetic engineering.
  • Biochemistry graduates will apply their knowledge base and problem solving skills to find solutions to future professional and personal challenges.
  • The Biochemistry graduate will be proficient in the laboratory skills required for productive scientific research in today's demanding academic and industrial settings.
  • The graduate will be able to acquire and share scientific data in written form with appropriate graphs and tables and will have experience in oral presentation of scientific results. Biochemistry graduates will be able to communicate scientific principles and experimental results to a broad audience.
