Archeological Technician - Academic Certificate

  • Ability to perform routine archaeological duties, e.g., surface reconnaissance, artifact analysis, excavation, mapping and similar efforts.
  • Awareness of current issues within the professional community, e.g. federal/state legislation and its impact on Native Americans, methodology, working with various ethinic groups (e.g., Native American, Overseas Chinese), academic research versus private sector employment.
  • Awareness of the professional community, extant networks, and possible sources of employment.
  • Knowledge of the basic requirements and obligations of their position within the professional community
