Architecture - M.S.

  • Acquire breadth and depth of knowledge in a specialized area of architectural research and synthesize knowledge in comprehensive written thesis.
  • Address significant social , environmental, cultural and economic challenges posed by built and natural environments creatively and collaboratively.
  • Apply critical thinking and design research skills to consider diverse points of view, inforrm and evaluate design and planning decisions about built environments, and address problems presented by the build environment
  • Contribute effectively through verbal, written dialogue and discourse, and if applicable, graphic communication, to design and or research projects in the following specialized areas: Computing and Visualization, Environment and Behavior, Urban Design, Community Design and Planning, and Sustainable Architecture and Planning.
  • Master and integrate knowledge concerning a specialized dimension of architectural theory or practice along with the scientific and artistic modes of scholarship in preparation for employement in academic or research oriented professions.
  • Understand the role of research in informing architectural design, improving life quality, and supporting the betterment of built environments.
