Animal and Veterinary Science - B.S.A.V.S.

• Students will demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of physiology, genetics, nutrition and anatomy.
• Students will demonstrate information gathering, critical thinking, and problem solving skills, and demonstrate the ability to write and present scientific information in a professional manner.
• Students will demonstrate knowledge of animal production systems, production management skills, and the economic principles and practices essential for successful livestock production.
• Students will demonstrate the ability to objectively make decisions about contemporary issues based upon scientific fact rather than emotion.
• Students will demonstrate the ability to write and present scientific information in a professional manner.

• Students will gain basic knowledge of biological and chemical systems and, will demonstrate in-depth knowledge of physiology, anatomy, animal nutrition , animal breeding, and animal genetics.
• Students will gain a basic foundation in the animal and veterinary sciences.
• Students will gain a basic knowledge in oral and written skills.
