Current Awareness
- eTOC : Contact Jean or Diana for assistance finding journals that provide electronic table of contents that are emailed to you. eTOC services are primarily available for journals on interdisciplinary databases.
- Blogs: Contact Jean or Diana for assistance finding blogs in subject areas of interest emailed to you.
- CILP/SmartCILP Contact Tom for assistance in setting up weekly email service covering newly-published articles in almost 600 legal journals. (Notifications may be organized by subject or title.)
- Journal Routing: Contact Tom to request that a specific journal be routed to you or for a print list of all law journals, law journals in a selected subject area, and/or journals in interdisciplinary fields.
- Alerts from Westlaw or Lexis: Contact Jean or Diana for assistance in creating an alert providing updated information on a subject, case or statute from West Clip, Keycite, Lexis Eclipse or Shepard’s.
- BNA email alerts: Contact Tom to request that BNA alerts on news or subject area be emailed to you.
- Notice of new law books: Contact Jean to request notification of new books in selected subject areas.
- News: Contact Jean or Diana for assistance finding news resources with RSS feeds that email the news to you.
Faculty Publications
- Scholars’ Repository: Contact Jean or Diana to add your publication to the Scholars’ Repository webpage on the law library website.
- SSRN/Bepress: Contact Karri for information on subscribing to SSRN ejournals. For information on SSRN and Bepress accounts contact Diana. For assistance in uploading a publication to SSRN contact their technical support at 877-777-6435. For assistance uploading a publication to Bepress contact their technical support at 510-665-1200.
Research Assistance and Instruction
- Bibliographic Instruction for Teaching or Research Assistants: Contact Jean or Diana for research instruction for Teaching or Research Assistants.
- In-Class Presentations: Contact Jean or Diana for in-class presentations on research materials, electronic resources, and catalog searches.
- Instructional design: Contact (Katie Smith) to set up a class in Lexis Web Courses (Blackboard). Contact (TWEN at 800-484-4876) to set up class on TWEN. Contact Diana for assistance with web course design products.
- Electronic Resource Instruction: Contact Jean or Diana for instruction on electronic resources for one or more faculty.
- Research Databases: Contact Ruth for questions about access to research databases.
Circulation
- Borrowing/requesting/buying materials: Contact Jean or Diana for assistance finding materials and requesting from a catalog or database.
- Interlibrary Loan: Contact Jane for assistance with interlibrary loan requests.
- Recommend a Purchase: Contact John with requests to purchase international law materials or electronic resources. Contact Jean with requests to purchase U.S. law materials in print.
