LL.M. Programs

Many law schools offer advanced law degrees. The most common of these is the one-year LL.M. (master of laws) degree; other specialized law degrees range from short-term certificate programs to intensive S.J.D. or J.S.D. (doctor of juridical science) programs for those interested in academia. Below is information on the accredited law schools in the U.S. and Canada offering LLMs, SJDs, and other advanced law degrees. Certificate programs are not listed.

If you are interested in obtaining an LL.M. or another advanced law degree, it is critical that you talk with professors in your field of interest. They can help steer you to a program that meets your individual needs.
