Admission Requirements
Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university. Students at the University of Idaho and the College of Idaho may be approved for admission after three years of undergraduate study through our special 3 and 3 program (contact your pre-law adviser or the College of Law Admissions Office for more information).
Application Requirements
- Completed and signed College of Law application
- Nonrefundable $50 application fee
- Law School Data Assembly Service report containing current transcripts and Law School Admissions Test (LSAT) score
Optional Application Materials (highly recommended)
- Personal statement (2-3 pages)
- Resume (up to 2 pages)
- Letters of Recommendation (up to 3, submitted directly to the LSDAS)
- Addendum regarding diversity circumstances, poor academic or test performance, or any other topic not addressed in the personal statement
Deadline: February 15
The postmark deadline for submitting your application is Feb. 15. The Admissions Committee will begin reviewing completed files as early as November and will continue reviewing files on a rolling basis. Every effort will be made to notify timely applicants of a decision by early April. Applications placed in standby will be notified of any change in their status.
Deposit
Any student offered admission must submit a $200 deposit by April 1 to reserve their seat. This deposit is applied toward student fees upon registration and is fully refundable until June 1.
