Students discuss economics at a roundtable discussion

JD/Master of Business Administration

The University of Idaho College of Law and the Washington State University College of Business offer a joint J.D./Master of Business Administration. Eligible students can earn both degrees in a single four-year program.

Students must apply separately to the Idaho College of Law and the WSU MBA program and fulfill the admissions requirements of each.  Upon admission to both institutions, students must then apply and be accepted to the joint program.

Tuition
During semesters spent as a full-time student entirely at one school, J.D./MBA students will pay the appropriate full-time resident tuition and fees to that school.  Students must also pay prorated fees to the College of Law for all MBA classes transferred to the College of Law in addition to their WSU MBA tuition and fees.

Students must take at least 10 law school credits to be considered a full-time student at the College of Law. Likewise, a student taking at least 10 credits at WSU will be considered a full-time student in the MBA Program.  For those semesters J.D./MBA students take less than 10 credits at either school, students will pay a prorated per-credit fee for classes taken at each college.

Thanks to the unprecedented level of cooperation between our two universities, students enrolled in the J.D./MBA program who are residents of Washington or Idaho at the time of enrollment will pay resident tuition at each school.

Students who are not residents of either Idaho or Washington will be classified as nonresidents, according to the residency policies of each institution. Students in this category will pay nonresident tuition to each institution according to the same credit/credit hour rules set out above.

Financial Aid
J.D./MBA students will receive their federal financial aid from the University of Idaho, which will be designated their "home" school for federal financial aid purposes.
