PIN INFORMATION
Your “PIN” is your Personal Identification Number for Web access using Banner Web Interface (www.uidaho.edu/registration). Student PINs are initially six digits and are created with part of the birth date. The format for the six digits is: MMDD00; the last two digits are zeros, NOT THE BIRTH YEAR.
Your PIN must be changed with the first log in (if you have never logged in before!). If you have problems with your PIN, click here for help.
You are encouraged to set your PIN using a combination of letters and numbers to make it more secure and to change your PIN occasionally as an additional precaution. For security reasons, your PIN cannot be a combination of your birth date or sequential numbers such as 123456.
PINs become disabled when entered incorrectly five times in combination with your ID number. This is a security precaution to ensure that your personal records are protected. If you enter your PIN becomes disabled, you will need to contact the Help Desk at 885-2725 or the Registrar’s Office at 885-6731.
PERSONAL INFORMATION UPDATES
The College of Law student files are essential for internal use and are often called upon to provide statistical information to the American Bar Association, Affirmative Action Programs, Financial Aid Programs, the University of Idaho Administration, the Student Bar Association, and other data collection services. Some of the information is available from your application for admission, but other information changes frequently, and we request this update once a year, at fall registration, to keep records current.
We ask you to complete the Personal Information Sheet and return it to the Administration Office (Room 101). This form may be completed when any major change occurs during the year, such as a new name, address, or phone number.
Keeping your mailing address current with the University is your responsibility. You can update your local address, permanent address, parents’ address(es) online using the Banner Web Interface (www.uidaho.edu/registration). Once you log in using your ID number (Vandal Number, SSN) and PIN, you will select Personal Information/Address menu. You may update your address(es) as often as is necessary to ensure important mail reaches you at all times. Future address may be entered by indicating the appropriate date range on the address update screen. It is important to keep your mailing address current at all times. Please update your addresses when they change so we can better keep in touch.
University email for students is sent ONLY to the official vandals.uidaho.edu address. Students may access their email using VandalMail Live (Windows Live Mail). For more information on VandalMail Live, please review the FAQ located on the Information Technology Services web site (http://support.uidaho.edu/Live).
