William F. “Bud” Yost has practiced law for 44 years in Nampa, Idaho. He earned a Bachelor of Arts at Miami University, Ohio; his Masters in Governmental Administration at University of Pennsylvania (Wharton School), where he was named a Samuel L. Fels Scholar; and his J.D. from University of Idaho in 1969. He served in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged as a Captain in 1966. Bud served as Commissioner for the Third and Fifth Districts and was President of the State Bar Association in 2002. He has served in many capacities for the State Bar and his community. He received the Professionalism Award in 1998, was named a Distinguished Lawyer in 2006, and received the Outstanding Service Award in 2012. His community service includes past Board Member and President, Mercy Hospital; Past President and Board Member, Nampa Industrial Corporation; and Board of Directors, Nampa Rotary Club. He currently serves on the State Legislative Compensation Committee and is a member of the Idaho State Bar Character and Fitness Committee.
He and his wife, Joan, are parents to five children and eleven grandchildren.
