Thomas High has practiced in Twin Falls since 1979 and has been with the Benoit firm since 1981. He graduated from the University of Utah cum laude in 1973, with a Bachelor of Science in psychology. Mr. High pursued graduate work in the area of psychology at the University of Tennessee in 1974. He then spent several years employed as a fire cause and origin investigator for the Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management in Boise, Idaho. Mr. High pursued his law degree from the University of Idaho graduating with a Juris Doctorate in 1979, after which Mr. High returned to his hometown, Twin Falls.
Mr. High is a member of the American Bar Association, the Idaho State Bar Association, the Fifth District Bar Association (Past President) and the Idaho Association of Defense Counsel (Past President). He is also a member of the American Board of Trail Advocates, the International Association of Defense Counsel and a Fellow in the International Society of Barristers, previously serving on its Board of Governors. He is Master of the Theron Ward American Inns of Court and has served as State Chair for the Defense Research Institute from 1989 through 1992.
Mr. High's practice includes personal injury litigation, both plaintiff's and defense, workers compensation, insurance coverage disputes, business and commercial litigation, and contract and real estate claims. His practice also includes general business and estate planning. Mr. High lectures extensively for the Idaho State Bar Association with particular emphasis in the areas of trial practice and professional ethics and civility.
