| Description |
The University of Idaho offers 18 student computing labs located across campus, consisting of 550 workstations and 26 printers. All labs are open during building hours except the two 24 hour labs located in the Administration building.
The student computing labs offer specialized software such as, Matlab, MathCAD, SPSS, ArcGIS, Adobe Creative Suite and other software applications to meet academic needs and are available to all students, faculty and staff at the University of Idaho. A U of I user account is required to login to a student computing labs workstation. A full list and location map of student computing labs can be found here. |

Any trouble with computing labs can be addressed to the help desk via email at helpdesk@uidaho.edu. Faculty and staff can request specific software installation for the student computing labs by providing the software license and contacting the Help Desk. |

| Description |
ITS offers the VLab service, which allows students to run university licensed specialty software such as MathCAD, MatLab, ArcGIS, etc on their own personal computer from anywhere with an internet connection.
The program is run on the University server and is interfaced completely through a web client in the Citrix receiver. Read more about VLab. |
