Microsoft Lync
Microsoft Lync is a new collaboration, instant messaging and video chat client that comes with Office 365. This guide will walk you through the download and installation of the Lync client as well as showcase some popular features.

Mail.app setup
Mail.App users will need to completely remove their current account profile and re-create it in a brand new Exchange format. This guide will assist you in removing your old account profile and re-creating it to make Mail.App work with Office 365.

Uninstall Office 2003/2007
Outlook 2003 will not work with Office 365, and Outlook 2007 with be missing many key features of the new platform. ITS strongly encourages users upgrade to Office 2010. This guide will assist users in removing their Office 2003 or 2007 installation, preparing their system for Office 2010.

Uninstalling Office 2008
Office 2008 and Microsoft Entourage will no longer be supported with Office 365. Because of this, ITS strongly encourages Entourage users to migrate to Office 2011 for Mac. This guide will assist you in removing your Office 2008 installation and prepare your computer for Office 2011 for Mac.

Removing large emails
The migration to Office 365 can not transfer emails larger than 25MB. Any emails this large will get left behind in the migration. For a smooth migration, you can use this guide to find any messages in your inbox larger than 25MB and copy them off the server.

Thunderbird and Office 365
Thunderbird users will be required to change their server IMAP settings following the migration. Because Thunderbird does not include Exchange functionality, we strongly encourage users to migrate to Office 2010 or 2011 for Mac. This guide will assist users in changing their server settings to make email work with the new Office 365 architecture.

Junk Email Reporting
Junk email filtering will be handled differently on the new Office 365 architecture than it was on the old system. Instead of reporting junk mail directly to ITS, Office 365 works on a self-report learning algorithm. This guide will explain junk email rules in Office 365 and what you can do to prevent junk mail from entering your inbox.
