Independent Study in Idaho (ISI) was created in 1973 by the Idaho State Board of Education as a cooperative of four accredited Idaho institutions. Member institutions include:
- Boise State University (BSU)
- Idaho State University (ISU)
- Lewis-Clark State College (LCSC)
- University of Idaho (UI)
ISI students
People from all walks of life, throughout the world, take ISI courses to
- begin college programs early,
- resolve on-campus class-time conflicts,
- satisfy prerequisites,
- pursue professional development, or,
- for personal enrichment.
ISI courses are designed to help students pace themselves in their learning. The flexible program allows students to:
- enroll at any time, from any place,
- take up to one year, if needed, to complete their course.
