Scholarships and Tuition Assistance
Discover Idaho International Tuition WaiverTo qualify for this waiver, you must have either a high school or college transfer Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least a 3.25. All qualified students are guaranteed to receive this tuition waiver! This waiver is renewable if a 2.8 cumulative University of Idaho GPA is maintained.
There are two categories:
3.25-3.59 GPA: $1,500 Tuition Waiver, renewable for up to 4 years
3.6-4.0 GPA: $3,500 Tuition Waiver, renewable for up to 4 years
International Tuition Waivers
Students must have a 3.0 GPA and be pursuing a bachelor's degree to be eligible. The award amount is $6,500/year, renewable for up to 4 years. Preference given to underrepresented student populations. The number of awards is dependent on available funding each year.
Priority Date for Undergraduate Students: February 15
The "PRIORITY DATE" to apply for one of these waivers is February 15 of each year for an award to begin the subsequent fall semester. By submitting an application for the University of Idaho on or before the priority date, students will also be automatically considered for departmental merit waivers.Tuition waiver scholarships for the subsequent fall semester may be awarded to students who apply after the February 15th priority date if there is additional funding available. However, those who comply with the priority date of February 15th will be given first priority.
Scholarships and waivers may be available for students who apply to enter during the spring semester if funds remain after the fall awards are assigned. First priority is given to students who enter in the fall semester.
