Residence Halls
Residence hall rooms have either common bath facilities on each floor or bathrooms shared by one or more roommates. Residence hall rooms have a single bed, chair, desk, shelves, drawers and a closet. Students provide their own sheets, pillows, blankets and towels. There will be opportunities to purchase these items after you arrive. Each residence hall room has phone hookups and Internet access. Students provide their own phone or computer. All international students living in the residence halls receive the American Language and Culture Program (ALCP) meal plan which includes 10 meals per week and $250 "flex dollars." The University of Idaho cafeteria, "Bob's Place," is where students can have all-you-can-eat breakfast, lunch and dinner.
University Apartments
Apartments are offered as a housing option for graduate students, nontraditional students, married couples and families. All apartments have private bath and cooking facilities, and family housing apartments have hookups for your own laundry appliances.
Live Off-Campus
Off-campus housing is an alternative for students who wish to live independently. The availability and cost of off-campus housing varies from year to year. If you choose to live off-campus, ALCP cannot assist you with finding or reserving housing. There are online resources available by following these links:
