Vendor and Other Permits

Vendor | Prices Vary (2023-24)

Annual Vendor permits ($435), One-Day Vendor Permits ($5) and Ten-Day Vendor Permits ($50) are available for work-related use by individuals who provide services to campus but are not directly employed by the university. Vendor permits may be purchased online.

Vendor permits are valid in the following areas: regular spaces in color-coded lots (no time limit), designated “Valid Campus Walkway Permit Required” spaces on the campus walkway for 30 minutes, and meters or timed spaces for two (2) hours. Vendor permits are NOT valid in service/delivery spaces, reserved spaces, disability spaces and or areas not designated as parking spaces.

Service | Prices Vary (2023-24)

Service permits may be used in the following spaces for a maximum of two (2) hours: signed Service spaces, regular spaces in any color-coded lot, meters, timed spaces and designated Service spaces on the campus walkway system. Service permits are also valid in Delivery spaces for one (1) hour. Annual Service permits are NOT valid in reserved spaces, disability spaces or any area not designated as a parking space.

Annual Service permits ($435 for non-U of I affiliates) and may be purchased online.

Temporary Service permits are $4/day for non-U of I affiliates $0 for U of I affiliates, and must be obtained at our office. These permits are valid only for the dates printed on the permit.

Delivery | Prices Vary (2023-24)

Delivery permits may be used in the following spaces for a maximum of one (1) hour: signed Delivery spaces, regular spaces in any color-coded lot, meters, timed spaces and designated Delivery spaces on the campus walkway system for a maximum of 30 minutes. Annual Delivery permits are not valid in reserved spaces, disability spaces or areas not designated as a parking space.

Annual Delivery permits ($212 for non-university affiliates) may be purchased online.

Temporary Delivery permits are $4/day for non-U of I affiliates and $0 for U of I affiliates, and can be ordered online. These permits are valid only for the dates printed on the permit

Commuter Overnight/Early Morning (OE) | Prices Vary

This annual permit is intended for use by those who reside off campus and need to park on campus between the hours of 2 a.m. and 7:45 a.m. Commuter O/E permits are required for those with a valid Orange, Red or Blue permit or for those without an annual permit and are valid for parking in Orange, Red, Blue, or Gold lots. Commuter O/E permits are not required for commuters with a valid Gold permit. Gold permit holders may park overnight in Gold lots only. Commuter O/E permits are NOT valid in meters, timed spaces, service/delivery spaces, disability spaces, reserved spaces, campus walkways or areas not designated as parking spaces.

Commuter Overnight/Early Morning (OE) permits may be purchased online. Permit is $0 for individuals who hold an annual permit or $25 otherwise.

Temporary Overnight permits can be purchased by the day online for $3/day or $0 for individuals who hold an annual permit. Follow the process as you normally would and then select "OVERNIGHTWEB" from the menu.

Media | $25 (2023-24)

Available for official media personnel. Valid in meters/timed spaces for 2 hours and all colored lots (no time limit). Available in-office only.

Lost/Stolen Permit Replacement | $25 (2023-24)

A lost or stolen permit should be reported to the parking office as soon as possible. You will need to complete a short lost/stolen permit form and pay a $15 replacement fee to receive a replacement permit. If you find your permit after reporting it stolen it is very important that you do not use it or give it to anyone else. You should return the permit to the Parking Office. Using a permit that was reported lost/stolen may result in a fine for lost/stolen permit ($200).

If you lose a payroll-deducted Vandal parking permit you will need to notify us if you would like payroll deductions to cease for that permit, or to obtain a new permit for a $15 replacement fee.
