Technology Solutions Partners
University of Idaho Information Technology Services (ITS) offers technology support for UI faculty and staff on the Moscow campus through its Technology Solutions Partners (TSPs). In response to employee feedback, in fall 2017, the new TSP service model for employee tech support was launched.
TSPs are skilled professionals embedded across campus and offer employees a range of services, including software and application troubleshooting, software installations, equipment purchases, new account setup, hardware recommendations and more. This means UI employees will receive consistent, reliable, high-level service each time technical assistance is needed.
What does this change mean for UI employees? Essentially, it means a change of habits: With the start of fall semester 2017, employees will no longer contact the UI Help Desk for technical assistance. Instead, UI faculty and staff will contact their TSP team for help.
TSP teams are assigned to regions on the Moscow campus to support faculty and staff who currently do not have technology staff funded by their own colleges or units. For statewide and center employees, as well as those with existing technical support staff in their department or unit, nothing changes. These employees will continue to work through existing processes and staff for technical support.
