The Banner Human Resources module provides the University of Idaho the means to collect and manage vital information about its most important asset: people. Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) supports the university's efforts in recruiting, hiring and retaining the best candidates for meeting the university's mission and goals. A variety of integrated components enable the university to manage personnel, benefits and positions; monitor compensation, labor relations and health and safety; administer budgets; and process payroll.
Human Resources Training Module
This training is available online and is a prerequisite for all other Human Resources (HR) module training. It provides instruction on how to look up and navigate through query forms within the Banner HR module. Employees who work with personnel or payroll information should attend. Request and/ or register for this training on the Banner Training Portal. This training provides hands-on instruction for entering Electronic Personnel Action Forms (EPAFs) in the Banner HR Module. Trainees are given scenarios in which they must enter a new employee into Banner or change existing information. Handouts provide trainees assistance in selecting the appropriate approval category before the EPAF is entered. This class should be taken by employees who will be entering and/or EPAFs for a department, as well as those individuals who will be proxy for them in their absence.
This training is for employees who have taken EPAF training, have EPAF access and are responsible for originating and/or approving departmental EPAFs and want one-on-one training to better understand the process. This training is offered upon request by contacting the trainer directly at email@example.com.
