Background and Interests
In my first year, here at the University of Idaho, I found my interests growing in the field of Psychology. Especially in the more applied area in Experimental Psychology. Reaching out and investigating what the University had to offer in this area I found myself involved in directed study research classes with Dr. Justin G. Hollands and Dr. Brian P. Dyre in the area of Human Factors and Psychophysics. Vision was their main direction in their research, and I found myself very interested as well. I am currently a graduate student in the Human Factors Psychology program here at the University of Idaho assisting in vision research with Dr. Dyre. I am one of Dr. Dyre's research assistants in the Idaho Visual Performance Laboratory (IVPL) and am currently assisting on projects involving motion parallax studies and virtual head-up displays for navigation. The human factors program is excellent here at the University of Idaho. I recommend to those who are interested to apply to the program.
I started college here in 1997 after graduating from Sandpoint High School in Sandpoint, Idaho. I've lived in Idaho most of my life with the exception of a student exchange in Bilbao, Spain and an internship at Battelle Seattle Human Factors Transportation Center in Seattle, Washington. Interests I have are many outdoor activities including soccer & skiing, and I love to travel.
