Dear Potential Vandal,
On behalf of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity, congratulations for being accepted to the University of Idaho! We hope that you pick Idaho as your choice for your post-secondary education. This letter gives us a chance to introduce ourselves and the Greek system to you and your parents.
Living in a fraternity provides great benefits to you at the University of Idaho. The Kappa Sigma Fraternity provides a home away from home. We pride ourselves on the feeling you get while living at the Kappa Sigma House.
Forget what you may have heard about Fraternity life in the past. Fraternities provide thousands of students every year with the campus connections, leadership and teamwork experience, and scholarship assistance to ensure that upon graduation, they not only have had the best college experience, but have the advantage needed to ensure job placement and career opportunities.
As a member of Kappa Sigma, we want to briefly introduce to you great experiences that await you in the fraternity. We are a traditional, values-based fraternity, and we uphold our principles of Fellowship, Leadership, Scholarship and Service. We are not a "drinking club" or a "social group"; rather our mission is to provide our members with a great college experience.
The Kappa Sigma chapter house also provides you with a great place to live including meals, internet access, and social interaction with fellow members. The chapter house is kept in good condition through upkeep and cleaning every summer and is considered one of the best on campus. If you, or your friends, would like to learn more about Kappa Sigma, the University of Idaho, or the Greek system please feel free to contact us.
