Kappa Sigma

The Gamma Theta chapter of Kappa Sigma is located on "old greek row" at the University of Idaho. We are the oldest national fraternity in the state of Idaho, established in 1905, and recently celebrated our centenial anniversary in 2005.

Our Mission

Kappa Sigma is a college fraternity that pursues the betterment of its members through brotherhood, friendship, and unity. The objective of this organization is to excel in all areas of fraternity and student activity, and to be an outstanding participant in the University community, as well as the local community. Through the development of scholarship, leadership, campus and community involvement, and the social graces, this objective may be reached.

The Four Pillars of ΚΣ

The foundation of every Kappa Sigma lies in the four pillars on which it was founded: Fellowship, Scholarship, Leadership, and Service:

As a Fellowship, the Fraternity is a proving ground to try out and listen to new ideas, a place where one can learn interpersonal skills and principles of management and government critical to developing Leadership skills necessary for professional life after college. It is a place which fosters academic growth, enhancing the Scholarship mission of the institution where a chapter is located. By offering richly diverse experiences and bringing together men of different backgrounds, members gain a sense of duty and Service to the university, the Fraternity, and the community at large.
