How do I apply for the Go Idaho! program?
The application process is simple.  Just apply for admission and include your high school transcript and ACT or SAT scores.  You will automatically be considered for the program.
How does the Go Idaho! program work?
The Go Idaho! program is designed to guarantee you receive a minimum of  $1,500 in scholarships for the year.  The scholarships may be from different sources but will total a minimum of $1,500.
What are the criteria to continue participating in the Go Idaho! program after my first year?
To renew your eligibility in the Go Idaho! program, you must maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average at the University of Idaho.  The eligibility will be calculated after the spring semester each year.
If I qualify for the Go Idaho! program, is there a chance I will receive additional scholarships?
The Go Idaho! program guarantees you will receive a minimum of $1,500 in scholarships.  Many students will receive additional scholarships that would total above $1,500.  The application process for all scholarships is the same as it is for the Go Idaho! program.
Is the Go Idaho! program a scholarship?
The Go Idaho! program is a “program” that guarantees you will receive a minimum dollar amount in different scholarships.  Although you will never see a scholarship called “Go Idaho!”, you will see scholarships awarded with several different names but totaling a minimum of $1,500.
Why is the University of Idaho establishing the Go Idaho! program?
It is important to the University of Idaho that we keep Idaho’s top students in Idaho.
If I qualify for the Go Idaho! program but must leave college for a segment of time, can I still receive the scholarship?
The Go Idaho! program requires continuous enrollment during the four years for which you receive the scholarship.  However, an approved leave of absence for such things as internships, missions, medical situations, or other special circumstances can be approved so that you participate in the program once you return.
Will I be joining other top students from Idaho?
You will be joining top students from throughout Idaho and the northwest when you enroll at the University of Idaho.  UI’s freshmen academic profile is the highest of any public institution in Idaho.
What if I am home-schooled and do not have a high school GPA?
For students who are home-schooled, they must have a 25 ACT or 1140 SAT.
Are there other types of financial assistance to help students attend the University of Idaho?
University of Idaho provides over $80 million in financial assistance to students.  Additional financial assistance in the form of scholarships, grants, work programs, and loans are available to students. 

Application Process:

There are no separate applications for the Go Idaho! program or other merit-based scholarship awards.

There is not an Admission/scholarship application deadline for the Go Idaho! program or the other guaranteed scholarships offered by the University of Idaho.

Eligibility Requirements:

Incoming Idaho high school graduates with at least a 3.5 unweighted cumulative GPA. Students that are from Idaho and home schooled must have a 25 ACT or 1140 SAT.

The Go Idaho! program is honored up to four years as long as the student maintains at least a 3.0 cumulative UI GPA and enrolls continuously as a full-time degree-seeking student each semester.
