Matching Gifts
If you are employed by a company that matches charitable gifts, you can increase the value of your gift to the University. While most employers’ programs double their employees’ gifts, some will triple or quadruple a gift to the University of Idaho. Gift society membership is based on your gift and your employer’s matching gift, if both are received in the same fiscal year.
More than 1,000 parent companies and corporate foundations in the United States currently match their employees’ gifts to nonprofit organizations. Retired employees, employee spouses and corporate directors are also eligible to participate in many corporate matching gift programs.
Would you like to participate? To participate, contact your company’s Human Resources Office to obtain the necessary form. Complete the donor section of the form and forward it with your gift to the Gift Administration Office. We will complete the institution’s section of the form and forward it to your company. The company will then issue a check to the University. The company’s gift will be credited to the same designation as your original gift.
